TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Bank of Japan Governor Masaru Hayami said the
BoJ has no intention to introduce a system of inflation targets.
Speaking to a committee of the lower house, Hayami said: "Although
the government is arguing the need to introduce an inflation targeting
system, if this means the BoJ will have to set a relatively high
inflation rate to achieve the target by all possible means, we do not
agree to that.
