18 September 2001, 09:34 Japanese stocks rebound 3.2% despite record falls on Wall Street
Tokyo, Sept. 18 (BridgeNews) - Japanese shares ended the morning
session higher despite record falls on Wall Street overnight, which had
been expected.
Investors in Japan are hoping that the Bank of Japan will ease monetary
policy further this week, traders said. The Nikkei 225 Stock Average was
up 306.08 points, or 3.2%, to 9,810.49.
