TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's reform program calls for job creation, using the public sector as a temporary safety net for the unemployed, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported, citing a draft. The Prime Minister will present the priority reform program, which outlines the reform plans that are to be given immediate attention, to economic ministers on Friday, it said. The program also calls for quick action to revitalize the nation's securities markets, including overhauling the securities tax code, it said. The new plan also holds up the goal of resolving the bad-loan crisis within three years by bolstering examinations of major banks and taking other measures, it said. In addition, the draft plan calls for "appropriate" coordination between monetary and fiscal policy, it said.
