10 September 2001, 09:06 Japan stocks fall 1.5% after sustained US losses
Tokyo, Sept. 10 (BridgeNews) - Japanese shares ended lower across the
board in the morning after U.S. shares posted further losses Friday in
reaction to data indicating U.S. joblessness had reached a four-year high.
The Nikkei 225 Stock Average closed the session down 157.07 points, or
1.5%, at 10,359.72 after falling to a new post-bubble low of 10215.43
early in the morning.
