Paris, Aug. 24 (BridgeNews) - French consumer prices fell 0.2% in July
after a 0.1% rise in June as the cost of fresh food, oil products and
clothing and shoes eased, according to final unadjusted data released by
national statistics agency INSEE. (See table .6660). The July consumer
price index was +2.1% on an annual basis, still a touch above the key 2%
mark identified by the European Central Bank as a worrisome inflation
level.
