London, Aug. 23 (BridgeNews) - Shares of European stocks ended mostly higher due to a strong opening for U.S. markets that sent many technology companies into positive territory. At 1652 GMT, the U.K.'s FTSE-100 index was down 12 points at 5397 and Germany's Xetra DAX-30 was up 31 points at 5,251.
