New York, Aug. 22 (BridgeNews) - The Dow industrials held on to modest gains in afternoon trade as stocks rebounded from a sharp selloff Tuesday. Still, gains in the market have been muted and traders question the sustainability of the rally. Chip, oil and biotech continued to lead the gainers while Internet, hardware and software stocks pulled back. The Dow Jones industrial average was last up 51 at 10,225 while the Nasdaq Composite Index was flat at 1831.
