President Bush's White House economic adviser Lawrence Lindsey, who wrote in a magazine article earlier in the year that the "dollar's pre-eminence can no longer be taken for granted, but must be earned" has written a follow-up article, saying no amount of intervention can change the greenback's fate. Writing a new article titled "Hands Off the Dollar!" also published in the bi-monthly International Economy magazine, Lindsey specifically offers rebuttal to criticism of his original article of noted economist C. Fred Bergsten.
