New York, Aug. 14 (BridgeNews) - U.S. stocks ended an aimless session lower as a stronger-than-expected retail sales report drew little response from investors. The Dow Jones industrial average ended down 3.74, or 0.04%, to 10,412.17 and the Nasdaq Composite index was down 17.72, or 0.89%, to 1964.53. The S&P 500 was down 4.56, or 0.38%, to 1186.73.
