14 August 2001, 10:15 German July wholesale price inflation 2.2%, lowest since Oct 99
Frankfurt, Aug. 14 (BridgeNews) - German wholesale price inflation in
July dropped to 2.2%, marking the lowest level since October 1999,
according to data released by the Federal Statistics Office in Wiesbaden
Tuesday. In the monthly comparison wholesale prices fell 0.8% from June,
as prices for live pigs, pork and petroleum showed the most significant
declines. Excluding oil products, wholesale prices in July fell 0.5% from
June and were up 2.3% on the year.
