TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Industrial output in June was revised to a fall of 0.8 pct month-on-month from the previous estimate of a 0.7 pct fall, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said.
In May, industrial output fell 1.2 pct.
The ministry provided the following month-on-month breakdown of the June industrial data, compared with the previous estimate (and the May comparison):
Output - down 0.8 pct vs down 0.7 pct (down 1.2)
Shipments - down 0.1 pct vs rise 0.1 pct (flat)
Inventories - down 0.6 pct vs down 0.6 pct (up 0.8)
The plant utilisation in June was down 0.6 pct month-on-month, while production capacity was down 1.3 pct, the ministry said.
