BRUSSELS (AFX) - Euro zone June unemployment was 8.3 pct, unchanged from May and down from 8.9 pct a year earlier, the EU statistics office Eurostat said. The EU's rate was 7.6 pct, also unchanged from May, and was down from 8.2 pct a year before. Eurostat said it estimates that in June 11.3 mln people were unemployed in the euro zone and 13.1 mln in the EU. Lowest June rates were Luxembourg and Netherlands at 2.4 pct, Ireland and Austria at 3.8 pct and Portugal at 4.0 pct, it said. Spain had the highest unemployment at 12.8 pct.
