5 July 2001, 09:22  Japan trade surplus falls 41% on year during June 1-20 period

Tokyo, July 5 (BridgeNews) - Japan's trade surplus fell 41.0% on the year to 365.001 billion yen for the first 20 days of June on a custom-cleared basis, the Ministry of Finance said. The data indicate overseas demand remains weak and continues to be a negative factor for Japan's economy.
