4 July 2001, 09:17  Japan MOF Kuroda's doesn't expect FX talks at Saturday's G7

Tokyo, July 4 (BridgeNews) - Foreign exchange issues will not be discussed at the Group of Seven nations' finance ministers meeting on Saturday in Rome, according to Vice Finance Minister for International Affairs Haruhiko Kuroda. Kuroda has repeatedly said that the euro's weakness is undesirable for the world economy, but the fact that currency issues will not be on the table suggests the weak euro is not a priority for the world's seven major economic powers.
