WIESBADEN, Germany (AFX) - Producer prices in Germany rose 0.1 pct in June from May and were up 4.3 pct from a year earlier, the Federal Statistics Office said. Germany's producer price index rose to 105.7 in June from 105.6 in May and from 101.3 in June 2000 (1995 equals 100), the office said in a statement. It said the month-on-month 18.7 pct average increase in energy prices had contributed significantly to the overall price rise. Excluding energy prices, the PPI index was up 2.2 pct from June 2000.
