25 July 2001, 08:42 US stocks end lower on profit woes
New York, July 24 (BridgeNews) - Nagging worries about the outlook for
the economy and corporate earnings sent almost every sector lower, leaving
the major U.S. stock averages in the red for a third straight day. The Dow
Jones industrial average ended down 183.30, or 1.76%, to 10,241.12 and the
Nasdaq Composite index was down 29.31, or 1.47%, to 1959.22.
