Frankfurt, July 24 (BridgeNews) - Annual consumer price inflation in
the German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg declined to 2.9% in July from 3.1%
in June, the state's Stuttgart statistics office said Tuesday. In monthly
comparison, prices rose by 0.1% in July from June compared with 0.3% rise
in the previous month. The main monthly rises in prices were recorded for
package holidays and hotels, while fuels and heating oil costs declined
from June.
Following the release of first German states' CPI data Monday, Bridge
Fokus Deutschland now sees preliminary pan-German inflation coming out
below original forecasts at up 0.1% and up 2.7%.
