New York, July 12 (BridgeNews) - A positive pre-announcement from Microsoft (MSFT) and better-than-expected earnings from Yahoo! (YHOO) and Motorola (MOT) sent the Nasdaq up 5% while the Dow industrials soared more than 200 points. The Dow Jones industrial average ended up 237.97 points, or 2.32%, to 10,478.99 and the Nasdaq Composite index rocketed 103.70 points, or 5.26%, to 2075.74. The S&P 500 jumped 27.96 points, or 2.37%, to 1208.14.
