11 July 2001, 13:24  BBK says German adj, annualized CPI rose 3.9% in January-June

Frankfurt, July 11 (BridgeNews) - German consumer prices rose an annualized, seasonally-adjusted 3.9% in the 6 months through June, according to data released Wednesday by the Bundesbank. The figure compares with a 3.5% rise for the 6 months through May, the central bank said. * * * The central bank said the June index measured 110.1, compared with 109.9 in May. The Federal Statistics Office Wednesday separately released its own German consumer price data--which is not seasonally adjusted. The final June CPI was confirmed at up 0.2% from May and up 3.1% on the year.
