8 June 2001, 10:24 European stocks end mostly down on US moves
London, June 7 (BridgeNews) - Shares of European markets ended mostly
down as the U.S. markets continued to slide on concerns about future
earnings potential for corporations. The U.K.'s FTSE-100 index closed down
21 points at 5901.5, Germany's Xetra DAX-30 was down 19 points at 6173 and
France's CAC-40 closed down 41 points at 5452. Italy's MIBTEL ended in
postive territory, closing up 140 points at 21,197.
