Greenspan sees little evidence of emergence of US inflation
Singapore, June 4 (BridgeNews) - U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan said he sees few signs of inflationary pressure in U.S. "at the moment" as increasing energy and unit costs have been absorbed by companies and have not yet been passed on to consumers. Speaking to an International Monetary Conference, he said, "As best as we can see, there is little evidence of signs of emerging inflation. Inflation is not a significant problem at this moment."
