26 June 2001, 10:47  Dow hits 2-month low; Nasdaq ekes out gain

New York, June 25 (BridgeNews) - The Dow Jones industrial average closed at its lowest level since April 24 as cyclical, retail and financial stocks all retreated. The Nasdaq Composite index was resilient, however, as buyers emerged in sectors that have been beaten down over the past few weeks. The Nasdaq closed up 16.06, or 0.79%, to 2050.90. The Dow ended down 100.37, or 0.95%, to 10,504.22 and the S&P 500 was down 6.74, or 0.55%, to 1218.61.
