TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Minister of Financial Affairs Hakuo Yanagisawa said it is impossible to estimate the likely size of banks' new bad loans as it will depend on future economic conditions. "The size of banks' new bad loans will be determined by economic conditions and at present we have no economic models to calculate an estimate," he told a parliamentary Upper House committee. "It is difficult to say how many new bad loans will appear in the future."
