8 May 2001, 10:06 US stocks end lower in quiet, aimless trade
New York, May 7 (BridgeNews) - U.S. stocks ended slightly lower in a
very quiet and range-bound session, as investors digested last week's
gains and awaited further economic data, due out of later in the week. The
Nasdaq closed down 18.16, or 0.83%, to 2173.37. The Dow was down 16.07, or
0.15%, to 10,935.17 and the S&P 500 was down 3.13, or 0.25%, to 1263.48.
