NEUCHATEL, Switzerland (AFX) - Swiss consumer prices rose 0.5 pct in May from April and were up 1.8 pct year-on-year, the Federal Statistics Office reported. In April, consumer prices were up 0.3 pct from March and up 1.2 pct year-on-year. The consumer price index (May 2000 equals 100) was at 101.8 in May, up from 101.2 in April.
