Paris (AFX) - Finance minister Laurent Fabius said the French economy is slowing down, but that there is not change in the overall trend. "There is a certain slowdown in the economy, but there is no change of direction," he told the National Assembly. The government will need to continue its policy of cutting taxes and controlling spending, he said.
