Tokyo, May 29 (BridgeNews) - The ratio of job offers to job seekers in
Japan's labor market stood at 0.62 in April after seasonal adjustment, up
from 0.61 in March, the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare said. The
April figure was above the average outlook at 0.60 by economists here. The
ratio had been in an improving trend after having shown a record low 0.46
in both May and June 1999, but the recent figures indicate such
improvement has stopped.
