25 May 2001, 10:37  U.S. share prices ended higher

Thursday in lackluster trading, showing little reaction to the dramatic changes in the Senate. The Nasdaq Composite rose 38.54 to 2282.02, while the Dow Industrials rose 16.91 to 11122.42. Volumes were moderate. Dealers and analysts see little fallout from the surprising power realignment in the Senate, as it evidently will not stand in the way of the tax cut.
