New York, May 23 (BridgeNews) - The Nasdaq Composite fell almost 3% and the Dow industrials posted triple-digit losses as stocks consolidated after recent gains. Talk that the Republicans may lose control of the Senate also added to the negative tone. The Nasdaq closed down 67.80, or 2.93%, to 2246.05. The Dow was down 151.73, or 1.35%, to 11,105.51 and the S&P 500 was down 19.99, or 1.53%, to 1289.39.
