BridgeNews - Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis President Gary Stern Tuesday was cautiously optimistic about the U.S. economic outlook, calling for 2001 growth in the range of 2.0 to 2.5% and saying he expected a "significant improvement" in the second half of the year. He cited the energy situation as a potential "wild card" for the economy.
