PARIS (AFX) - French employment rose a provisional 0.8 pct in the first quarter, after increasing 0.9 pct in the fourth quarter, the statistics office Insee said. Employment stood at 14,855,400 mln at the end of the first quarter compared with 14,731,000 mln at the end of the fourth quarter. The figures exclude the agriculture, public administration, education and health sectors.
