Tokyo, May 18 (BridgeNews) - Japan's benchmark stock index ended the morning session higher Friday as index heavyweight tech issues gained on the Nasdaq's strength overnight, but uncertainty ahead of the weekend announcement of MSCI's index rebalancing limited the upside. The Nikkei 225 Stock Average rose 57.85 points, or 0.4%, to 13,968.52.
