TOKYO (AFX-ASIA) - Corporate bankruptcy liabilities in April rose
10.8 pct year-on-year to 1.48 trln yen, the second largest April
liability level since the second world war, Teikoku Databank said.
The number of corporate bankruptcy cases in April rose 4.4 pct
year-on-year to 1,631, the third highest level since the war, it said.
The largest collapse in April was Nice Middle Sports Club, which
had debt of 66 bln yen followed by Daiwa Toshi Kanzai, which had debt
of 48 bln yen.
