Dow ended with modest gains of about 43 points whilethe Nasdaq posted losses of about 28 points. Dow hadbeen up about 100 points early in the session andNasdaq had also posted espectable gains after theEuropean Central Bank surprised markets with a 25 bpsrate cut. Dow was supported by a $0.75 gain in HomeDepot and a better than $1 gain in Disney as well as bysmaller gains in GE, JP Morgan and Citigroup. Over onthe Nasdaq, Cisco, Intel, Dell, Worldcom and Symantecall posted modest losses. S&P 500 ended down lessthan half a point.
