11 May 2001, 10:45  BBK says German adj, annualized CPI rose 3.2% in Nov-Apr

Frankfurt, May 11 (BridgeNews) - German consumer prices surged an annualized, seasonally-adjusted 3.2% in the 6 months through April, according to data released Friday by the Bundesbank. The figure compares with a 2.6% rise for the 6 months through March, the central bank said. * * * The central bank said the April index measured 109.5, compared with 109.1 in March. The Federal Statistics Office earlier Friday separately released its own German consumer price data--which is not seasonally adjusted. The final April CPI was revised up to show 0.4% rise from March and a 2.9% jump on the year.
