Manufacturing output confounded expectations bymanaging to rise only slightly instead ofrebounding after January's large drop, official datashowed. Manufacturing output in Feb. rose by 0.1%on the month and 1.5% on the year. The monthlyresult was below a median forecast for a rise of0.4%.
