The central bank provided a breakdown of labour diffusion indices, which measure the number of companies that believe they have excess workers less those that believe they have too few, whcih showed mixed developments.
The March figures that follow are compared with the December data:
All industries - 11 vs 9
All manufacturers - 18 vs 15
All non-manufacturers - 5 vs 5
Large companies - 19 vs 20
Large manufacturers - 25 vs 25
Large non-manufacturers - 11 vs 14
Mid-sized companies - 9 vs 6
Mid-sized manufacturers - 17 vs 13
Mid-sized non-manufacturers - 3 vs 1
Small companies - 10 vs 9
Small manufacturers - 16 vs 13
Small non-manufacturers - 4 vs 6

The actual March indices contained in the latest report compare with the following forecasts for March released in the previous December survey:
All industries - 8
All manufacturers - 14
All non-manufacturers - 4
Large companies - 16
Large manufacturers - 21
Large non-manufacturers - 10
Mid-sized companies - 6
Mid-sized manufacturers - 12
Mid-sized non-manufacturers - 1
