The ISI U.S. company survey index fell to 43.7 in the week ended
April 12 from 44.9 in the previous week, indicating that the U.S.
economy will slow further, International Strategy & Investments said in
its weekly company survey. The four week-moving average of ISI's company
index declined to 44.1 from 44.6, the weakest reading since December
1995. "Our company surveys provided fresh evidence this week that the
economy has not yet hit bottom," ISI said.
