NS said jobs in the manufacturing sector continued to fall, with a 2.6 pct decline to 3.883 mln in the 3 months to February compared with the same period a year ago. "Nearly all industries have shown falls over the year," it said, adding that the largest falls were in the textiles and clothing subsector where 31,000 jobs were lost and transport equipment where 23,000 jobs were cut.
