NUREMBERG, Germany (AFX) - Labour Office president Bernhard Jagoda said he expects a "significant" upswing on the labour market this month. "If everything goes normally, I'll be able to announce a fall below the 4 mln barrier" in the total jobless figure, Jagoda said. The increase in unemployment in January and February is no reason to revise the outlook for 2001, he said. The Labour Office has said it expects the average number of jobless to be 3.60-3.65 mln this year.
