Most analysts expect the ECB to cut official interest rates within the next couple of weeks, with 13 of 37 betting on a move on Thursday, according to a survey by Market News International that was conducted before the M3 money supply data. Thirty-one of 37 respondents anticipate a rate cut by the end of April.
