Bank of Canada Governor David Dodge Wednesday said that, "Canada's strong fundamentals should operate in favor of the Canadian dollar over time." He told the Senate Standing Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce: "Canada's economic fundamentals are sound -- in fact, they are the best they have been in nearly 30 years. Canada continues to benefit from a climate of low, stable, and predictable inflation."
