The Nasdaq composite lost 118.13, or 6 percent, to 1854.13 -- still above its March 21 close of 1830. The Dow Industrials lost 162.19, or 1.6 percent, to 9785.35 -- well above its trading low last week of 9391. Volumes were extremely heavy.
