LONDON (AFX) - William Poole, president of the Federal Reserve of
St Louis, said in a speech in Prague that the slowdown in the U.S.
economy is nearing its end, CNBC television reported.
The mood in the economy is worse that the actual condition of the
economy and demand is holding up well, he was quoted as saying.
Production is also holding up and unemployment remains low, Poole
noted, according to CNBC.
