ROME (AFX) - Unemployment totalled 10.1 pct in January, down from 11.4 pct a year earlier, statistics bureau ISTAT said. On an adjusted basis, unemployment totalled 9.9 pct in January against 10.0 pct in Oct 2000. Employment rose 3.2 pct in January from a year earlier to 21.273 mln people.
