Producer prices in February rose 0.3% on the month and 4.7% on theyear, up from 4.6% in January. If oil is excluded, the index rose 0.1%on the month and 4.6% on the year. Meanwhile, import prices inFebruary rose a seasonally adjusted 0.6% on the month and 5.4% onthe year, down from 6.5% in January. Both sets of data indicate thatprice pipeline pressures are still quite strong.
