Finance Minister Laurent Fabius reportedly told radio station Europe 1 thatEuropean growth was less strong than anticipated but inflationary strains are weaker than before. "Anyone looking at these fact will have to draw the conclusions," he said. Asked whether he thought the European Central Bank should cut official interest rates on March 29, he replied that he would be satisfied by anything which allows the eurozone to revive growth because it is key to employment.
