FRANKFURT (MktNews) - The pan-German seasonally adjusted rate of inflation over the past six month was +2.6% in March, down from +3.6% in February, according to data released Friday by the Bundesbank.
Meanwhile, pan-German preliminary consumer prices for March rose 0.2% on the month on a seasonally adjusted basis and stood 2.5% above January 2000, down from an annual rate of +2.6% in February, the Bundesbank said.
The Bundesbank data differs from that of the Federal Statistics Office released earlier in that it is seasonally adjusted whereas the Statistics Office data is not.
As reported earlier, the preliminary unadjusted consumer price index for pan-Germany rose 0.1% from February and 2.5% from March 2000 levels.
