BUSH CONCERNED ABOUT AIRLINE STRIKES
President Bush Tuesday said he is concerned that thenation's air travel and freight system could bedisrupted by overlapping strikes of four major carriers-- and said he will "explore all options." American,Delta, Northwest and United Airlines could bethreatened by strikes in the next few months due towage disputes, a possibility Bush said could damagethe economy. "I am worried about the strikes at theairlines," Bush said at a neighborhood event where hewas promoting his tax cut proposal. "I think that they could have a harmful effect on our economyan I would urge that the parties settle their disputes."
