Tokyo--Feb. 7--The Business Survey Index (BSI) on business sentiment stood at a seasonally adjusted -4 in October-December, compared with +3 in July-September, the Cabinet Office said Wednesday. The index showed firms had a more pessimistic outlook about their business in October-December than they had in July-September. However, the survey showed capital spending was up 11.3% on the quarter in October-December, compared with a revised 0.1% rise in July-September.
* * * The adjusted index on the domestic economy stood at +1 in October-December, deteriorating from a revised +15 in July-September, the survey showed.
